Anabel is a small orphan girl who was found abandoned by her mother in Ghana. John
took her in and arranged for her to stay at a neighborhood childcare center. Thanks
to some very kind and generous donors, we have been able to pay for her room and
board there since that time.
About a year later the people running the childcare center pushed for her to be
enrolled in a boarding school and she now lives mostly in the school, returning to
the daycare center when the school is closed and everyone there is on vacation.
The matron who has been caring for Anabel at the childcare center is a very kind
lady named Hannah. Last weekend when Anabel was home from school Hannah took her on
an outing to the local mall where this photo was taken. (The lady in the photo is,
of course, Hannah.)
It is good to see that Anabel looks well. She has really grown since she was first
found at three years of age and is now quite the young lady. (she is five years old
now and will have her sixth birthday in May.)
We will do what we can to make sure she has the best life she can under the
circumstances, and to provide for her future with a good education and the right
kind of support.
